I’m not getting these exact ones because they’re nearly $300 apiece and I’m on a budget of about $0 at the moment, but what do you think of bronze (or maybe gold. One of the brown metals) on red? The ones pictured are 17s, but I’d rather get 18s or 19s. Maybe. Those, along with a 3"+ drop, would be perfect for a while.

I like the Red/Gold-Bronze setup.
Not sure about the 3" drop, but it might work (and my opinion is pointless).

3" is about what it takes to even out the gap above the wheels in the wells. It'll sit more like a car than a truck, and presumably it should handle more like one as well.

you can try out different colors cheaply by plastidip coating your current rims. Personally, I like graphite or black rims on a truck, but I’ve never owned a red truck...

Possibly !

I would suggest stick with the 17s as tires would likely be cheaper for the smaller size and the ride would be better.
The drop would be awesome! There's something mean about a dropped truck, especially a compact truck.

I like those rims a lot, although I'd rather go small wheel, large tire than vice-versa

I’d keep the wheels 17" and go with more sidewall. I can’t imagine that little truck with 20's. I like the Bronze/Gold look.
Quick glance at google shows that you need to drop the front 3" and the rear 4" to get it level. Most kits include new control arms to allow for 3" of front drop and 4" blocks out back.

Trust me. It’ll handle like a truck that has been dropped 3".
The best way (in my experience) to improve any pickups handling is to load the rear axle up by about 30% and fit normal road tyres rather than th e load rated ones it should have . It goes without saying that it then becomes largely useless as a pickup...

A pickup that’s been lowered 3" is still more car-like than a pickup that hasn’t been, even if not by much.
But honestly, I only really care about it looking good. It handles okay as is, save for the wandering steering that I still need to fix.

I’d go with white wheels all around, with a band of fluorescent color on one spoke or part of the wheel. Then have one wheel be the inverse. But I’m a sucker for asymmetry.
Or to apply this to the bronze wheels - do 3 bronze wheels with a gloss black accent, then have one gloss black wheel with a bronze accent.

These are gorgeous. Are knockoffs available?

In a live rear axle vehicle lowering the body more than an inch will lead to very different suspension geometry for everything else, most importantly the rear axle may no longer be aligned the way it should be. At least this is what I found out when I lowered my first 240. It can make tire wear and bushing wear accelerated and wonky too.
That’s a lot to consider when the ‘gains’ you are chasing could likely be had with a levelling kit and different wheels, tires and struts.
Also from my research cheap lowering springs are garbage, and anything worth the money makes spending the couple hundred dollars more for coil overs the real question

Lower is better. But im a bit biased. Makes loading and unloading the bed much easier.
And I went with the Hotchkis suspension for mine and it improved the ride a lot. I used to AutoX it as well and it was a hoot.

Why bother when they’re so cheap
